How does a group shoot work?
A group shoot consist of multiple photographers photographing a model. It's usually a rotational style setup where each photographer gets the chance to be the main shooter and direct the model to get the shot they need. The model will be able to focus on the main photographer solely during their time. After the time is up, the next photographer gets to be the main shooter.

Are these events good for new photographers?
Absolutely! These workshops are a great way for new and hobbyist photographers to get started in photography because it streamlines the process of you having to coordinate and organize a photo shoot yourself. Now, all you have to do is show up and shoot.

What do I need to bring with me to the event?
We take care of the location and the models so all you need to bring is your camera.

Will someone be available to help me?
Definitely! I attend all the events and I will be there throughout if you have and questions or need any assistance. Also, you'll be surrounded by friendly photographers who will also be able to help out if necessary.

What type of lighting will there be?
Sometimes we use strobes and sometimes we use constant lights. Whatever lighting is needed, we will provide it for the group shoot for you to use.

What type of atmosphere can I expect?
These events are frequented by photographers of all levels from brand new to advanced. You can expect to have a fun time , meet new and friendly photographers and models while listening to some great music! I'm always there at the events to moderate the room to make sure everyone is having a good time and getting the images they need.

Are these events expensive?
These events are priced to save you money and well as save you time. The prices vary based on the particular event but the cost is considerably lower than if you were to pay for a studio and model yourself.

Should I tip the model?
The models work hard so tipping is greatly appreciated. $20 is the suggested minimum amount.

What if I want to work with a model individually?
If you'd like to shoot with a model 1 on 1 during the event, we also offer that option as well. You can definitely bring your own lighting equipment for the 1 on 1 shoots.

Where do these events take place?
These events occur in NYC usually in Manhattan or Queens. The locations are easy to get to using public transportation. The exact address is provided to the photographer after they've signed up for an event.

Is there an age requirement for these events?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to participate in these events.
